Our Host

The Reverend Roshni Jayawardena

Roshni grew up St. Peter’s Erindale as a child and was involved a variety of ministries, but especially loved singing in our choir.  She graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a degree in Communications, Political Science and a minor in Women and Gender Studies. She also holds a post-graduate certificate in Event Management from Humber College and worked in corporate event management in Toronto. It was during this time Roshni felt called towards ordained ministry, and began her Masters of Divinity at Trinity College, graduating in 2018.

Roshni holds a variety of leadership positions in the Diocese of Toronto including being the Co-Coordinator of the Bishop’s Committee on Interfaith Ministry and a member of the Diocesan Response Team. She also enthusiastically uses her event management background for sharing the gospel and love of God through mission and outreach.

Roshni and her husky Eevee are grateful to be part of the St. Peter’s, Erindale community.

All In Accord

All In Accord is a family quartet.  Grenville Bray began teaching his 3 grandchildren (Jackson, Grace & Audrey) piano and ukulele each from an early age.  It was at the beginning of the pandemic that they organized into a quartet and began rehearsing songs.  They occasionally lead worship and/or perform at the Good Shepherd in Stayner.  They also perform at local nursing homes.

Ewen Farncombe

Ewen Farncombe is a Juno nominated pianist and composer based out of Toronto and

has been a professional on the scene there for nearly a decade. Having played on

various recordings and with numerous bands, he has earned his reputation as a highly

skilled musician.

While he was attending Humber College for a degree in music performance, he

received several prestigious awards, including the Hnatyshyn Foundation Oscar

Peterson award. While jazz is Ewen’s passion, he is a versatile player and is known to

play many genres of music.

Nathan Hiltz

Nathan Hiltz is a jazz guitarist and artist in residence at Grace Church on the Hill in Toronto. He has toured and recorded with Melissa Lauren, Terra Hazelton, Jill Barber, Alex Pangman, Laura Hubert, Steven Taetz, Drew Jurecka, and many others. Nathan plays traditional jazz with The Nathan Hiltz Trio, The Griffith Hiltz Trio, and the Koffman Hiltz Quartet. His new group, ‘Thermo’, is  co-led with Ottawa pianist Mike Manny. Their debut album ‘Birdlike’ has been heard on Jazz FM and CBC and will be toured across Canada in November 2023.

Nathan teaches guitar from his home studio, and at Humber College. Since 2021 he has led ‘Tiny Guitars’ – a weekly group guitar class for 8-12 year olds. Classes are held at Grace Church on the Hill and all instruments, materials, and instruction are provided at no cost to families. His piece ‘Mass for guitar and Singers’ has been performed at Grace Church on the Hill, St Judes Oakville, Christ Church Dartmouth, and St Paul’s Westdale. The Mass can be streamed and downloaded for free here.

Infinitely More

Infinitely More has a desire to share the love and light of God through song. Husband and wife duo, Allison Lynn and Gerald Flemming offer a fusion of folk, pop, hymns and worship that soothes the heart and ignites the soul. Based out St. Catharines, they are a full-time, freelance ministry. Pre-Covid, Infinitely More annually drove to every province in Canada to deliver the Gospel through worship and song. Their ministry is ecumenical in nature, drawing together seekers and believers from all denominations and generations.

This prolific duo has just released their 9th studio album – “The Sum of All Love.” This original song collection features guest performances by some of Canada’s best Christian artists, including Allen Froese, Kevin Pauls, Ali Matthews, and Drew Brown. Infinitely More’s previous recordings have been nominated for 15 national music awards. Their 2019 album – The Beauty of the One – won Covenant Awards for both Folk Album of the Year and Collaboration of the Year.

Abraham Millington

Abraham has been singing from the age of 3 in Kindergarten and Infant School at St. Christopher Boy’s in Barbados, until present. His other major talent taking the center stage over singing, is as a classical trombone performer, which came to the fore 3 – 4 years of playing the trombone, he won the Commonwealth Exhibition Award in Trinity College, London, England in 2011, gaining the highest marks internationally, upon completion High School in Barbados.

His preparatory musical tutelage at the Coleridge & Parry Secondary School, and the Barbados National Youth Orchestra (BNYO), to go to the International Music Camp (IMC) in North Dokata in 1999, where he met Dr. Robert Gifford, a global music clinician and conductor.

It was Abraham’s opportunity to come to Canada in 2010 – 2014 where he made the Dean’s List in Law & Society supervised by Dr. Lesley Jacobs, followed by the Master of Arts in Music under co-supervision of Dr. Mark Chambers and Prof. William Thomas, both degrees at York University, he was able to combine his love for Socio-Legal research with Ethnomusicology. This was all done, while a parishioner at Holy Trinity Anglican Church under former church organist Elaine Pudwell, and a former member of the Royal Barbados Police Force Band, now called the Barbados Police Service Band.

Abraham loves to uplift people with his gifts of music, and is preparing to combine these tenets into Screenwriting for TV Broadcast, Movies, Documentaries etc., as Canada positions itself to be a leading magnet in the Film Industry, with increasing global increasing imagination, innovation and creativity in the Arts.

His hope is to be a main contributor to Canada’s global sunrise industry growth in Screenwriting, as he continues to give of his talents altogether.     

Abraham counts it a privilege to support the Anglican circuit, and wish the Bishop and entire congregations, continuous success.

St. John the Baptist, Norway Choir

The Choir at St. John the Baptist Norway, under the direction of the Music Director, Cara Halpin, is a dynamic group of dedicated parish members, as well as a few professional singers. We participate in joyous weekly rehearsals and lead the congregation in hymns, psalms, as well as contemporary music during the offertory and communion.
